With Vince Russo current status, the war between him and Time
Warner's Standards and Practices for TNT and TBS has a ceasefire,
time will tell if it is for good or just a momentary pause, meanwhile,
our inside sources have unveiled many storylines that were proposed
by Russo and censored by S & P, the constant handicap provided
by S & P had frustrated Russo during his first tenure with
WCW and while his second was aided by Eric Bischoff and Brad Siegel,
he still was forced to water down or cancel some of his storylines,
some of these taboo items include:
Vampiro's interview with Tony Schiavone was supposed to end with Vampiro bitting off the head of Sting's crow, the scene was filmed and a fake crow was used for the biting segment ,but S & P rejected the footage.
Kimberly and Elizabeth were supposed to start a feud and eventualy develop their relationship into a lesbian love affair,S & P nixed the idea and Russo watered down the storyline to just lesbian overtones, but this didn't please Liz who opted to skip WCW.
Horace Hogan was supposed to be involved with a storyline where he discovered that Hulk Hogan was his father, in Russo's storyline, Terri Bolea had cheated with his brother's wife, S & P immediately dumped the idea, and Hulk Hogan wasn't too happy about the story either, he started to campaign against Russo behind his back.
There are many others, but with just a few samples, one can fully realize that Vince Russo was being asked to swim with an anchor tied to his neck, many of his friends doubt he will return to WCW under those conditions, but some say that if a deal with FOX is reached, Russo would be more than happy to work with that Network's more relaxed censorship practices.
