(Atlanta,
GA) The always controversial Terri Bolea (AKA Hollywood/Hulk Hogan)
has once again placed WCW on the spot. Not content at having dragged
Billy Kidman through a feud that basically was a self-serving
promotion for his "new" character, and basically proving
to the "boys in the back" that he still has the power
and if you talk bad about him he's going to get you to job to
him in front of the world, Bolea now wants more. According to
our sources, he demanded another run at the WCW World title, and,
Torrie Wilson as his valet.
Bolea already set the stage for Wilson's valet turn by kissing
her on TV and having her act as if she liked it, he managed to
convince the bookers that it would add heat to his feud with Kidman,
indeed, Billy was not too happy about the skit, since Wilson is
his real-life girlfriend. Sources say that this time, WCW management
is skeptical of Bolea's suggestion of having Wilson become his
valet, some people are starting to catch on that he only wants
this to happen to show up Kidman and to prove he's still the man,
and also, WCW doesn't seem to sold on yet another Hogan championship
reign.
Except for Eric Bischoff, who seems to believe that Bolea still
has it.
"I am not naive, and I will admit Terri has slipped to some
degree as far as ratings appeal, but taking his suggestion about
Wilson as his new valet, this would boost his ratings because
people would tune in to see her. Then you have the championship
picture, with Goldberg as a heel, a rematch between him and Hogan
could be a huge event. I am having a hard time convincing Russo
and Seigel but I believe it would be the right thing to do in
the long run." stated Bischoff. When Bolea was asked about
the rumors he replied "Well, brother, I have put WCW on the
map, brother, the least they could do is show a little faith.
I know that with Torrie Wilson in my corner Hulkamania would run
wild all over again, and when they put that strap back around
my waist, where it belongs, brother, I will take back the win
I gave that no good, backstabbing Goldberg. I haven't slept good
for years over the clean win I gave Ultimate Warrior, brother,
and even though it took some time, I got him back, now it's Goldberg's
turn, that's why I had him turned heel, brother. And as far as
that crybaby, Kidman, well, next time he opens his big mouth,
he'll know who not to talk bad about, brother. WCW can give me
what I want, or they can kiss my ass. I have no commitment to
them anymore. I gave them my best and they still treated me like
crap, when they asked me to go through a table for Kidman, I did
it, when they asked me to put Goldberg over, I did it, I worked
injured because they asked me to and even let them put me out
of the main event, but enough is enough, brother, I have a couple
of dates on my contract for WCW, and if they refuse to give me
what I want, I'm gone, I don't need them."
Some speculate that Bolea has made arrangements with the Fox network
to start a new wrestling organization and will do so as soon as
he finishes his WCW obligations. WCW has hinted that they would
let Hogan out of his contract immediately after Bash at The Beach
if he would let Jeff Jarrett win, but Hogan refused the hints,
there are fears that if Hogan does not get his way, he will no
show the PPV, so a back-up match between Booker T and Jeff Jarrett
has already been set-up on Thunder. This upcoming PPV should be
very interesting in determining the direction of WCW, if Hogan
shows up with Torrie Wilson, then he will get what he wants, if
he doesn't, then he will be out of WCW.
There are rumors that Bolea plans to take Torrie Wilson with him
to Fox by offering her a contract with a salary double of what
she is receiving in WCW.
