(Philadelphia,
PA) ECW CEO Paul Heyman announced today that due to the current
situation with the TNN network, he is exploring alternative avenues
to distribute his company's programs on national TV. According
to Heyman, contact has been made with PBS and he is in the process
of tweaking his product to fit that station's format type. "There
is no reason why hardcore wrestling can't be educational too."
claims Heyman, "We plan to add educational segments between
matches, and this will only enhance our product." Some of
the planned segments include:
Counting with Balls, in which Balls Mahoney teaches number counting
with the visual aid of chair shots. Gardening with Robbie, in
which Rob Van Dam illustrates the wonderful world of indoor gardening.
Beating the Rap, in which New Jack teaches basic legal issues,
Sandman's Safe Living, in which the Sandman illustrates the importance
of healthy living and Rhyming with Raven, in which Raven teaches
basic grammar and artistic ways of whining, however, this last
segment may be dropped because Raven may leave the company before
the PBS deal is closed.
More details will be released as they become available.
